Giving Every Child A Voice
CASA of West Central Louisiana is a nonprofit organization that recruits, trains, and supports community volunteers to advocate for the best interests of children in foster care. Our volunteers serve as a consistent voice for children as they navigate the court system, working to ensure their needs are met and that they find a safe and permanent home. Rooted in our community, we believe every child deserves someone dedicated to standing by their side during one of the most difficult times of their lives.

From One Judge’s Idea to a National Movement
The CASA movement began in 1977, when a Seattle judge recognized the need for children in foster care to have a consistent voice in court. He invited community members to step forward as advocates—and 50 volunteers answered the call. From that simple idea, a nationwide network was born.
Today, more than 59,000 CASA volunteers serve children in foster care across the country, helping them find safe and permanent homes. CASA of West Central Louisiana joined this movement in 1995, and since then, our volunteers have been standing up for local children in need, ensuring their voices are heard and their futures are brighter.
Advocating for Children Together
CASA of West Central Louisiana serves children in foster care throughout Beauregard and Vernon Parishes, working hand-in-hand with local judges, DCFS staff, and community partners to ensure every child has a voice in court. Our volunteers are part of a larger team dedicated to helping children find safe, permanent homes. Thanks to the support of our community, we are able to stand beside children and families during their most difficult times and work together to build brighter futures in our community.

Committed to Stewardship and Trust
At CASA of West Central Louisiana, we are committed to using every dollar wisely to support children in foster care. We believe transparency is essential, which is why we share our financials and annual reports with the community. Your support allows us to recruit, train, and empower volunteers who advocate for children every day, in Beauregard and Vernon Parish.
